National Resource Center on the Link from American Humane

The Link between child abuse, animal cruelty, and other crimes of violence against humans has now been well established.

There are presently over 400 full text cases (US, Historical and UK) and 625 statutes fully available on the site, with Michigan and California being very comprehensive. More importantly we have 23 topics that give the viewer directions and comprehensive explanations on some of the more intersting issues of the animal area. We also have a number of legal articles addressing a wide variety of animal topics. This is the best way for non-lawyers to access the information.

Called ARKive, it will be the world's digital library of natural history moving images, photographs and sound recordings with priority given to endangered species. As extinction rates rise, these images and recordings may soon be all we have left of many species. However there are no safeguards for the preservation of these records, no centrally-held catalogue or database about them, and much is being lost and is inaccessible to the general public and unavailable for educational use.
